Many aspects of Windows GUI features, such as window dimensions, location on the screen, etc, are stored in the Windows Registry. Under odd circumstances (who knows why Windows does what it does ;-), this information can be accidentally modified or changed such that the VGS GUI looks different or is missing sections such as the Project View area or Console window area. The default appearance of the T-VEC VGS GUI can be easily restored by starting it up on a DOS command line or in the Start>Run field by using the following command and switch

C:\T-VEC\bin>TVECVisualEnv.exe -initSettings

This should start up the T-VEC VGS GUI and restore the appearance to its default settings.
